"You Are So Beautiful...To Me!"

My son was staring at me tonight with this grin on his face, much like in this picture above....I didn't know what to make of it really, until he asked, "Do you know why I am staring at you Mom?" And his response was one I will never forget. You know what I mean right? Those little things our children say that make us smile, make us remember that all is GOOD in the world, at leased our little world inside the four walls we call HOME!!!
He said, "Because your beautiful!" Exactly like that...."I'm staring because your beautiful!"
It amazes me that a five year old could have that much heart. But that's just what it is...he has an innocent heart, one that just says what it thinks.

Not long ago he told me that he was going to marry me someday....oh, and I thought that was just about the cutest thing in the world. I can't help but wonder what is coming next....(I'm sure it will be something good!)

Have thoughtful children too? Please share their comments with us!

What a sweet little boy you have there!! My 8 year old son is probably the "sweetest" of them all. He will not say anything bad about anyone, and he has a way of changing our perspective on things that we may seem negative about. I just thank God for his gentle spirit! We need to nurture that in our kids!!!

They can make you feel like your on top of the world at times. My son can't tell me I'm beautiful yet ( he's 18 months) but I just got my hair cut, waxed my eye brows, and put on some makeup and he was sitting on my lap - he starts stroking my face ever so gently and giving my kisses - i love it when he does that and my interpretation of it is i love you your beautiful

The thing I love the most about being a Mom is that the kids don't care what I look like. They don't care when I've showered (or not), they love the way I look and the way I am, just like I loved the way my looked.

thank you so much for visiting my blog. My little girl is always calling me a pretty princess and also makes sure that I have a cushion behind me when I am sitting on the couch with her. She is 3. I am now a follower of your blog too.

Oh, he's a cutie for sure! Love the photo! My youngest son always says sweet things, but my oldest one has to have his arm twisted for a "I love you!"

Have a great weekend!

You must be proud! Such a sweet little boy. I love hearing anything from my kids - especially at the very young age. They're so sincere and so totally melts your heart.
My 13yo just did that last Saturday in front of 60 people when he said, "Before we continue, I would like to thank my mom... "

that's so cute! my son is 3 and was in the tub on Easter morning. I got dressed while he was in there, so when I went to get him out, he shouted, "Wow mommy, you are bootiful and you're dress is weally pretty!" The things kids come up with are priceless!!

What a cutie pie. Looks like you are doing a great job with this little guy.

My son told me one time, "I'll get married mom one day but you'll always be my favorite girl." OMG! I swear that totally is something I will never forget and we shall see lol!
