That's All Folks!

I would just like to say how deeply saddened I am to hear about John and Kate Gosselin and the decision to end their 10 year marriage. (I know, I know...it's a touchy subject!)

As I watched the show tonight, I couldn't help but see and feel the tension between them as they tried so hard to ignore each other while playing with the kids.

Here they are looking happy, but now..who really knows what they were feeling.

Was it the TV show that started them on the path to divorce? I don't know. All I can say is that no one wants to see a family separate. I sure don't.
And it's these little innocent faces that are going to suffer the most....
These kids never asked for any of this trouble. How sad is it that someday, when they are older, they are going to find out the truth of this whole ridiculous situation?
I just hope we can keep these innocent children in our thoughts and prayers and help Kate become a healthy and happy single mom! (That is one tough job!!!)
Care to share your thoughts on the parents? Kids? The whole situation? Please do!

As Always...Thanks for Visiting!!!
Danielle

I agree. It's really such a sad story. That poor family. *sigh* And the ones who suffer the most are the ones who probably don't understand fully what's going on! :-(

I don't have much to add other that to agree with you. It's sad when a relationship ends when kids are involved...

My heart goes out to them...just 5 years ago when they were a documentary...they were so grateful and blessed for everything. They were so obviously in love and I believe they still love their children regardless of the fact they don't "feel" love for each other. I wrote about them on my blog as well...even though I felt odd doing it. Be blessed

We don't have cable, so I never really watched their show. However, I did search on YouTube and watched a couple of episodes on there. Honestly, I'm not at all surprised that their marriage ended this way. It's sad for the kids, definitely, but I'm not one bit shocked.

I feel so sad for the children. I can't imagine not being with my husband and having us all of together. I'll definately be saying a prayer for all of them and especially to that Kate has the incredible strength a single mom will so desperately need. Especially in a family that size

I'm guessing (really), but I think that John was always the quiet, obedient, husband, and tolerated Kate being so overbearing. And things worked out great that way. Then suddenly, Kate got surgery and started looking really hot. This made quiet John insecure, so he got those hair plugs.

I figure that when John realized that other women were attracted to him and actually listened to what he had to say, that gave him the nerve to start standing up to bossy Kate. She was thrown for a loop and couldn't handle it. Then it just became a game of which could show the other how much they didn't need them, the most.

Rumors are that they both cheated. I think they really should have split first and then fooled around with whoever. Because now, this story sbout their cheating will go down in TV history, for their poor kids to grow up and see.

P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

It is really sad.. they should have just done marriage counseling to see if they could dave their marriage before they divorced.

I was saddened by their decision too. Hopefully it doesn't get any uglier than it already has. Who knows..maybe Jon will get bored with the single life and want his family back. It seems he has a difficult time deciding what he really wants.

Stopped by from SITS!

the parents both seem so self-centered it is pathetic! And now he is looking at a place in Trump Tower - is that really in the best interest of the kids??? Doubt it!

visiting from SITS. Enjoyed reading your blog. I don't watch that show (because we can't get it here) but it is always sad to hear that a couple is divorcing.

So very sad...

What has bothered me from the get go about them is that they always place their children before their marriage.

I read Multiple Blessings when it first came out. Kate always professed her love for Jon based solely on his understanding of her trials and how HE could support HER in the overwhelming logistics of birthing and raising that many children.

Even on Monday's show, they both placed the kids as top priority. The marriage should have come first. We are all probably guilty of this sometimes, though. I certainly am.

Or an even better way to put it: JESUS first, then OTHERS (wife, children), then You.

It's been really bizarre to watch teh earlier shows that they've been airing and see how different their interactions are with each other, and how much happier John seems. How different they both seem really. The whole thing is so sad on a lot of different levels. -e
