Change, Inspiration, Simplify

How many of us are in need of a totally new makeover for the home? I mean, how long has it been since we rearranged the furniture, painted a room, or bought a new duvet for our bedroom?

I think many of us have way too much going on in our lives today. We are wives, moms, friends, cooks, maids, and the list goes on and on and on.

Well, I'm going to be first and stand up to say..."I NEED A CHANGE!"... "YES, I WANT A CHANGE!"
There are several projects that I need to complete, and many projects that have been in the works for two years or more. (OMG...Did I just admit that?)

So here is my plan. I am going to list all of the projects that I want completed throughout the summer months on my blog. Not only as a daily reminder, but also a motivator to actually keep track of what I've done and what is a work in progress.

And that's not even the best part!!! (What is you say?) Well, I am going to do before and after pics of these completed projects in weekly or monthly posts, depending on how big the project or the time involved.

Wow....it has been a long time since I have actually been excited to dig in and get my hands dirty in household projects! But it's time to complete them and simplify my life!!!
(If you feel motivated as well, by all means do the same thing!)

"Out of clutter, find Simplicity.
From discord, find Harmony.
In the middle of difficulty lies Opportunity."
ALBERT EINSTEIN

Can't wait to see pics! I have summer home makeover goals too!!! Refinish a hutch, strip wallpaper and redo in guest bath and kick the kitchen florescent lighting to the curb and replace with track lighting. Yikes.

I think you just became MY motivator! STOOOOOOOOP IT! LOL.

Next weekend I will be tackling Calebs room to turn it from a "BOYS" room into a soft feminine one for my mom. Jeremiah will be over at 8am to help me tear the wood off the walls, and PAINT. Daniel said NO WAY JOSE. No can do. He hates doing projects.
THANKS FRIEND! Now I HAVE to finish what I start.
Will you be placing orders at Pottery Barn? It's a FAV of mine!!!

HuGZ!

Yes... I am so with you on needing the home makeover deal!! But I think I am going to wait until my kids get a little older because they break, stain and ruin everything it seems. So, I am going to wait a while! Daisy~

Thanks for dropping my my blog.I must say I love yours too! This is a great post. I am feeling the same way. We kicked off summer with a MAJOR yard sale & used the money for new dining room chairs & a new bed for our son. Buh-bye clutter! I love your ideas about simplifying.
We are working on our TV & master bedroom. Please keep us posted. I'd love to know what you do. I also have another blog http://thepreppypatio.blogspot.com/
