Tea Time Anyone

Ever since I was a young girl I can remember my Grandma having these beautiful china tea cups. It wasn't until I was oh, in my twenties, that I finally inherited a few of those gorgeous cups...and I was so happy!
I have since started collected many more of them from estate sales, thrift stores (I think only one has come from there though) and gifts from my cousin and God Daughters.
This is the collection.
I got this china hutch for the sole purpose of showing all of my teacups, teapots, and dishes. (The funny part....I only got 3 place settings of my good china for my wedding shower, Im waiting for the 4th! LOL)

Here is one of my favorite tea cups.
I just think it's such a beautiful shade of blue. And the flowers inside...well, it's like a little surprise! I don't know about you, but I always feel so much more special when I use these precious cups.

To all of you out there who do not use yours....What are you waiting for?
Life is meant to be enjoyed with daily little pleasures! :)

They are just beautiful!!!

so have you had a "tea party" yet?

I love this song you have on your blog! Reminds me of the "old" days or my younger days. Now I feel old!

Care to have a tea party!

Lovely! I think we've lost the art of relaxing and enjoying tea with friends in such beautiful cups. I'm glad you are enjoying these :)

I'm lucky if I get to slurp back a warm drink from the local coffee store in a paper cup with a sippy top as I drive to the next thing.

Sigh. Would love to have a moment to relax and have a civilized tea.

I have inherited many of my grandma's teacups and my great-grandma's as well. Emma & I enjoy using them and she had a tea party for her 4th birthday... I even made a cake that looked like a teapot! Some of my teacups have been put aside for Emma and the other children in the family. My plan is to gift each bride with a teacup from our family at her bridal shower as a way to share some of our family history and to keep the tradition going. <3

Bummer that you didn't get a 4th set for your wedding. Maybe you can make it an anniversary gift to yourselves? I hear what you are saying. Definitely enjoy things instead of storing them away somewhere never to be used or seen..
